Michael Taylor

Richard has lived in Matching all his life and farms in partnership with his brother. He has been a District Councillor for Matching and the surrounding areas for 24 years. He has been a member of Matching Parish Council since 2006 and is also a Sheering Parish Councillor.

He is a local magistrate,  a founder member of both Harlow Tye Rotary Club and Matching Green Classic and Sports Car Club and has always been keen to support the Village Hall and local community.

Richard was elected Chairman at the Annual Parish Council Meeting in May 2008

John was born at Number 8 Parkside, Matching Tye, moved to Chalkpits, Matching Green and now still lives in the village in The Colvers. He is happily married to Angela and has two daughters, Nicola & Lisa. For the past 25 years he has worked as a self employed plasterer.

John, his brother, father, and grandparents all attended the village school. He has played for both the football team and the cricket club, still takes an active interest in them and is a keen member of The Fox Golf Society.

He is involved with the Council to help manage, protect and improve the local parish for future generations and was elected Vice Chairman at the Annual Council Meeting in May 2008

Paul was co-opted onto the Parish Council on 5th January 2009 following the resignation of Stuart Tinney. He has lived in the Village for 12 years and is a member of the Village Hall Management Committee. He can often be seen walking his dog around Matching Green

Michael returned to the council in May 2011 having previously served for many years several of which were as Chairman.

He is married and runs a very successful business on the outskirts of Matching green

Jean Prevost

Jean has lived in Matching Tye for 44 years and is married with 3 sons. She has always been involved with village life, helping to start the first Matching play group in the early 70's, was Matching Cub Scout Leader for 9 years, on the Committee which developed the playing field (Jubilee Field) in Matching Tye, has been a member of the Matching Village Hall Management Committee for over 25 and currently Chairman for past 10 years. She has been a bell ringer at Matching Church for 20 years and is a member of the Matching Hand Bells team. She last served on Matching Parish Council for 10 years in the 1980's and was Chairman for 4 years during this time. She spent several years working in the shop at Matching Tye and The Fox Inn and before retiring 2 years ago worked for 12 years for Social Care in the Harlow Child Protection team. Her hobbies are needlework, reading, crosswords and lunching with friends.
